Well, the black on that scene was already prominent enough, so was the white. Most of the time, it depends on the scene you pick. If you want to make the black stand out more so the outline will show (this one was a bit washed out due to glares), the Curves layer is really helpful.

 

Do something like those settings and it makes the silhouette blacker and the background whiter.
